Wineries and Boutique Food suppliers

The Rotary Club of Terrace End extends an invitation to potential exhibitors to participate in the Manawatu Wine & Food Festival on 12/13 June 2010.

The Wine & Food Festival will be located on the first floor of the Awapuni Racing & Function Centre, which is set amongst beautiful park-like grounds at Palmerston North's Awapuni Racecourse. It is the region's largest purpose-built function complex offering expansive views of the racecourse and looks out towards the Manawatu wind farms.

The Festival features wineries and boutique food suppliers from around the North Island. The exhibitor sites will be arranged in an open-plan configuration but may vary to suit individual requirements. A 2.4m trestle and two chairs will be available for each site and additional items can be ordered when booking. Some power sites will be available plus chiller facilities. A refreshment/rest area for exhibitors will be available in a separate lounge on the first floor. Cooking is allowed on exhibitor sites by arrangement.

CrowdCafé-style food and refreshments will be available from the resident caterers, Creative Catering Ltd. Patrons will be able to use the tables and chairs located around the room and outside if weather permits.

The Wine & Food Festival will be predominately marketed through local media and the Manawatu Wine & Food Festival website. Early purchasing of tickets will be available through Palmerston North's i-SITE in The Square and also available on-line and with day sales available at the gate.

The Rotary Club of Terrace End promoted the concept of having a Wine & Food Festival in Palmerston North in 2008 with the first event being held in June 2009. The committee researched other food fairs and wine festivals and was confident that a ‘winter' type Wine & Food Festival in a superior location would be a winning formula for both the public and exhibitors, prooved to be the case. Funds raised will be distributed to the club's community projects.
